How much time it takes is an excellent question! The answer varies depending on where you are in the UNIFY Journey. For the Friend of UNIFY level, you'll need to watch the entire UNIFY Marriage Ten-Part Video Series. If you plan to watch the videos alone without additional effort, that is the least amount of time required. However, we highly recommend participating in a group setting, either online or in person, to enhance your experience.

Additionally, there are resources available to enhance the value you receive from the experience. Before your group meeting, you can work through worksheets reviewing the scriptures mentioned in the session. There are also questions designed to help you review the material and stimulate discussion within your group. Consider answering these questions before watching each video and then discussing them in your group afterward. This approach will help you maximize your experience. Allocate an additional 20 to 30 minutes before each group meeting for preparation.

The length of time each group meets is completely up the group itself. We recommend having time for at least three components that we feel are critical.

1) Time to let everyone share about what has been going on in their life since you last met. This is the type of interaction that builds connection in the the group.

2) Watch the video together. Going through this in a group will open your eyes to perspectives that you wouldn’t have considered if you simply watched it alone.

Although UNIFY has recommendations on how groups could be set up and run, these are not rules that must be followed, simply suggestions. Having said that, it would be our recommendation that spouses go through this together. Having led groups for over a decade, we know that there will be the most gained from this experience if both the husband and wife are present.

The answer to this question will be up to the group you join. Our recommendation is that a group meeting weekly likely provides the best combination of continuity and connection. We have led groups with more time between meeting and they were not as effective for the participants as the ones that met weekly. Having said that, it is completely up to your group.

Your group can meet on any day and at any time. The videos are accessed from the website and can be viewed 24 hours a day. When you become a Friend of UNIFY you will have acces to a private Facebook group where you can either start or join a group.
